Carnforth CC became the most recent members of the Northern League after a long association with the North Lancashire League, which they joined in 1923. They were league champions in 1966 and 1985 and Higson Cup winners on five occasions.
The present ground has been in use since 1880 when it was purchased from the local railway company by a consortium of businessmen and bequeathed to the club.
Omari Banks (West Indies), Irfan Fazil (Pakistan) and Ryan Bailey (South Africa) were club professionals with Gareth Pedder taking over the role in 2009.
