LEAGUE SUMMARY OF PLAYING CONDITIONS

First innings: A maximum of 50 overs to be bowled in three hours;
Second innings: A minimum of 50 overs to be bowled in three hours.

Changes in playing time worked out at a rate of 3.5 minutes per over.
Normal timing for a match:
First innings: 1-00pm to 4-00pm
Tea (30 minutes): 4-00pm to 4-30pm
Second innings: 4-30pm to 7-30pm

Note: This is actual playing time. Times may be longer due to drinks intervals and extraordinary events.

The final few league games of the season shall begin at 12-30pm, the number to be determined by the fixture secretary. In the 2011 season the final four rounds of fixtures shall all commence at 12-30pm.

Variations in overs can occur due to sides being bowled out or making a declaration. E.g - if the side batting first is bowled out or declares after 46 overs of their innings, their opponents have 54 overs to bat.

If, after the umpires have made allowances for drinks intervals or extraordinary delays, a bowling side has not completed the overs in the designated playing time then they will be liable to a charge of having a slow over rate and loss of points.

The points are awarded as follows:
Win batting first - 15 points
Win batting second - 12 points
Draw batting first - 4 points
Draw batting second - 1 point
Tie - 5 points each side
Abandoned/ no result/ void games - 4 points each side

Note: Bonus points are not awarded to the winning team. Maximum number of points to be earned is 15 (if batting first) and 12 (if batting second). Bonus points are awarded to losing teams and to both teams in the event of drawn or tied games. In abandoned games any bonus points earned while play was in progress are void.
