DARWEN, KENDAL AND LEYALND ONLY WINNERS ON A RAIN EFFECTED DAY

League leaders Darwen beat Carnforth at Birch Hall Adam Hornby 31 and Richard Forsythe 30 the main run makers in the visitors total of 112.
Gareth Cordingley having the figures of 6overs 1 maiden 4 runs for 4 wickets.
Professional Atif Ashraf 63no and Chris Lowe 34 no saw Darwen home 113 for 3 wickets.

At West Cliff Preston entertained Leyland, Leyland were bowled out for 107, six players in their teens, sub professional Ashar Zaidi taking 4-26 off 18 overs.
Preston were bowled out for 78, Rehman Shah their top scorer with 30.Steven Pallett took 5-22 for the visitors.
David Makinson the Leyland captain took his 1000th wicket in the Northern League in his 3-29

At Vernon Road Kendal won the toss and batted aginst St Annes, openers Ikram Ullah 100no and Kevin Howarth 46 gave Kendal an open partnership of 89 in a total of 198 - 6.
St Annes were bowled out for 156, professional Shane Harwood making 53 and Gareth Evans 33. Kendal's Chris Miller taking 5-56

Barrow continued the good start to the season with a winning draw against Lancaster at Ernest Pass.
Barrow made 188-5 in their 50 overs, Justin Quint 51 and Jonathan Miles 36 their top scorers.
In reply Lancaster reaches 105 - 7 in their innings reduced to 41 overs, professional Jannisar Khan and Jamie Heywood leading the chase.

Morecambe made 204 - 3 with openers Mark Woodhead 68 and Vishnal Goyol 63, Blackpool's innings reduced to 40 overs due to rain were 139 - 5 at the close, Adam Parker 52 and Luis Reece 32 the main run makers.

Netherfield put into bat by Fleetwood reached 250 - 6 in 47 overs, sub professional Ian Moran 84 and Ryan Brown 45 top scoring.

There was an amazing game at Broadwater, League leaders at the start of play Fleetwood elected to bat and were bowled out for 54, John Whalley making 47 followed by 4,1 and eight ducks, Philip Hartley taking 5-5 and Nathan Chambers 4-0
In rpley Netherfield knocked off the runs in 5.3 overs, Rishi Girdhari making 51no out off 55 - 1

At Stanley Park Blackpool were 153 - 8 at the close of their innings, Michael Penney following last weeks 129no with 57, Andrew Armstrong of Morecambe taking 4-36.
Morecambe were bowled out for 96 Blackpool's Andrew Armstrong with the figures of 8-39.

At Carnforth, Darwen put into bat made 234 - 5 Gary Jackson 110no and Neil Darby 5-98.Carnforth won by five wickets 235 - 5 with contributions from Ben Hornby 72, Glen Russell 49 and Wayne Tomlinson and Neil Darby each making 40.

Kendal 162 - 7 had a winning draw against St Annes 116 - 6, Adrian Potts taking 4-19 for the home team.

Lancaster 238 - 6 with top scorers Danny Welbourne 62 and Jack Turton 58 beat Barrow 221 runs from Greg Reynolds 44 and Liam Livingstone 42

Preston were asked to bat by Leyland at Fox Lane and made 151 Monty Cottam 6-33, his second 6 wicket haul in two games.
Leyland reached 145 - 9, Tom Coxhead 42.
