LEYLAND WIN AGAIN AND PRESTON WIN THEIR FIRST MATCH

Leyland beat Lancaster at Lune Road, Lancaster bowled out for 132 Michael Stevens top score 44 and visiting pro Ameer Khan 5-47, Leyland making 133 runs for 9 wickets. Professional Ameer Khan completing a good day for him with 52 and James Rounding 25no hitting the winning runs with a biundary off the last ball.
Home professional Jannisar Khan taking 6-35

Preston were invited to bat at Shap Road and made 196 for 8 in their 50 overs, professional Bilal Asad making 90 with contributions from Paul Mann 30 and Sajid Patel 25.Chris Miller taking 4-55 for Kendal
In reply Kendal were bowled out for 138, home professional Graeme Aldridge 61 and Paul Dodds 31 sharing in a 72 run partnership.
Bilal Asad had figures of 9.4 overs 5 maidens 13 runs 5 wickets ably supported by Yasin Patel's leg-spin 3-33

Carnforth asked Nertherfield to bat and the visitors made 295 - 5, Sub Pro G Ali top scoring with 87 with the help from Chris Parry 59, Ryan Brown 43 , Michael Daly 31 and Simon Little 28no.
Carnforth in reply reached 183 for 7 at the close. Ryan Nelson 50 and Professional R Riaz 36 their main runmakers.

The matches at Chorley and Darwen were abandoned, at Chorley, Barrow battered and made 232 for 8 professional Pasan Wanasinghe scoring 101 assisted by Jonathan Miles with 54, rain at tea prevented any further play.

At Birch Hall Morecambe were invited to bat and made 215 for 7 in their 50 overs due to opener Vishnal Goyol 134no and professional Werner Coetsee 48
Darwen had reached 35 for 1 after 10 overs when rain stopped play.

St Annes had a winning draw at Stanley Park, Ian Austin 57, professional Shane Hawood 56 Gareth Evans 31 the main run makers in St Annes's 206 for 7.
Blackpool managed 155 for 8 professional Justin Kreusch 83* the only score of note.

In Division 2 Netherfield and Chorley were the only winners of the day.Carnforth were bowled out for 71 by Netherfield Stuart Nixon 4-19, Nathan Chambers 3-6 and Philip Hartley 3-41 the wicket takers.
In reply Nertherfield reached 74-3 in 15.2 overs with Graeme Dodds 34no.

Barrow after 50 overs were 151-9 with Guy Heffernan 48 and R Astle 32*.Josh Tolley 73* and John Hotham saw Chorley home at 153-3.

At Woodhill Lane batting first Darwen reached 147 - 6 in their 50 overs with Cameron Anwar 50no and Niall Burke 33, Warren Quin taking 4-59 for the home team.
Morecambe reached 131 for 6 in 46.1 overs Gulam Maje 60 the only good score.

Leyland had a winning draw at home to Lancaster. 50 from Martin Brown saw Leyland make 160 - 8, Luke Stockhill 5-35
Lancaster struggled to 70 - 8 in 30 overs Danny Welbourne making 39 and Sifton Prince taking 5-32

Home team Preston had a winning draw against Kendal. Preston 225 - 6 had three players making over fifty Jonty McDonald 55 no, Mark Jefferies 53 and Roger Kaye 51no
In reply Kendal 185 - 4 had two players making over sixty, Andrew Dugdale 66 and Oliver Killiner 61

There was another winning draw at St Annes, the home team making 186, John Musgrave making 70 and Andrew Armstrong 4-58 off 21 overs and Luke Melville 4-42 the wicket takers for Blackpool. In reply Blackpool made168 - 8 at the close, Prashant Aga top scoring with 58 and Richard Thomas 4-31
