DIVISION ONE:

Barrow v Morecambe - Ernest Pass Memorial Ground

Barrow won the toss and decided to bat first. All was well to start with the top 3 all making runs, Kaustubh Pawar 57, Toby Mowat 31 and Sam Dutton 34

With the introduction to young Lloyd Smith into the attack the wheels came off the Barrow innings and they were bowled out for 167 in the 50th over.

Smith took 6-13 in 7 overs

Morecambe lost an early wicket and just when they looked to have turned it round with Saeed Anwar Jnr 24 and Leiws Smith 15 were both out and the innigs deteriorated to 99 all out.

Only Ryan Pearson 29 Luke Pearson 11 showed any resistance to Javed Khan 4-30, Daryl Wearing 3-18 and Patrick Allington 2-10

Chorley v Leyland - Windsor Park

Leyland won the toss and put Chorley into bat. They made 158-8 in their 50 overs thanks to Stuart Naden 45 and Nekoli Parris 33. Henry Thompson took 4-33 for Leyland

Chorley made Leyland fight for their victory as Leyland reached their winning target of 162-6 with 3 balls to spare.

Karl Cross made 32 but wickets fell regularly and a stand between Andrew Makinson and Nathan McDonnell 27 put Leyland in sight of victory, Makinson saw them home with 33no

For Chorley Nekoli Parris bowled 16.3 overs and took 3-36

Lancaster v Kendal - Lune Road

Put into bat by Kendal Lancaster were bowled out for 101 in 39 overs, Charlie Swarbick 34 and Ben Simm 23no their top scorers.

Chris Miller took 5-37 ably supported by Toby Tyson 2-16, Darren Nightingale 2-19 and Syed Ali 1-17

In the Kendal innings only Paul Dodds 15 and Wesley Fernando 15 reached double figures as they were bowled out for 58 in 26.4 overs, Charlie Swarbrick the destroyer in chief with 6-5

Netherfiled v Blackpool - Parkside Road

Netherfield invited Blackpool to bat first and they were bowled out for 122 in 45.4 overs. Blackpool can thank the lower order with Andy Furniss 25 and Ben Howarth 25 giving the bowlers something to defend

In the Netherfield reply only two players reached double figures Bradley Earl 17 and No10 Joe Portman 14no. Daryl Mitchell lead the Blackpool bowlers with 4-28 off 11.1 with Jake Muncaster taking 3-6 and Andy Furniss 2-15

Preston v Fleetwood - West Cliff

Fleetwood won the toss and put Preston into bat, Preston were all out for 173 in 46.3 overs thanks to Lukman Vahaluwala 47, Sajid Patel 44 and Rizwan Ali 31.

Jamie Harrison took 7-47 off 15.3 overs for Fleetwood

The Fleetwood innings struggled and Jamie Harrison top scored with 21 as they were bowled out for 94 in 36.3 overs

The wickets were shared between the Preston bowlers Lukamn Vahaluwala 3-19, Afzal Kapadia 3-33, Yasin Patel 2-16 and Andrew Starkie 2-19

St Annes v Penrith - Vernon Road

Put into bat by Penrith St Annes were bowled out in 43.4 overs for 122. No7 Henry Higson top scored 37no with contributions from De Wet Swart 28, Tom Higson 20 and no11 Matthew Grindley 22

The wickets for Penrith were Greg Hall 4-34, Zakhele Qwabe 4-48 and Michael Hay 2-18

The Penrith reply was dominated by Chris Marrow 68no as he saw Penrith home 125-5 in 31.1 overs

Matthew Grindley 2-43 off 16, Tom Higson 2-27 and Mitchell Bolus 1-45 were the St Annes wicket takers

Division 2 Round Up:

Blackpool v Netherfield

Blackpool won the toss and chose to bat.

With no batsman making a big score but all contributing Blackpool were 146-8 in their 45 overs. Iaasc Medhust was Netherfield's best bowler with 3-33

When Netherfield started their reply Jamie Thomson removed 3 of the top four to have them 32-4.

Liam Dugdale and Scott Clement came together and their partnership of 100 to put Netherfield within sight of victory

When Clement was out for 36 (132) and Dugdale followed for 58 (139) shortly afterwards it was left to Iaasc Medhurst 8no and Stuart Nixon 1no to see Netherfield past the post on 147-7 with 1 ball to spare

Jamie Thomson finished with 4-14 off 12

Fleetwood v Preston

Fleetwood won the toss and decided to bat first and were all out for 90 in 37.1 overs with Paul Willis top scorine with26

The pick of the Preston bowlers was Heszer Mamood 3-19 and Mustaq Tailor 3-26

Chasing the small score Preston took their time and knocked off the runs to reach their target of 92-4 in 35.1 overs with no batsman making a big score

Tom Clarke made Preston work for their victory taking 3-16 off 12 overs

Kendal v Lancaster

Having won the toss Kendal batted first and made 174 in 44.5 overs thanks to openers Oliver Tyson 73 and Finley Richardson 65

The wickets were shared by the Lancaster bowlers, Ethan Markland 3-26, Danny Welbourne 2-25 and Imran Ashraf 2-33

Like Kendal the Lancaster openers scored well and put Lancaster in a strong position. Faizan Khan made 89 and Danny Welbourne 34. It was left to Ethan Markland 14no to see Lancaster home reaching 176-4 in 33.1 overs

Leyland v Chorley

Leyland won the toss and elected to bat, They made 190-8 in their 45 overs with contributions throughout the team with Kurtis Watson 34 and Hamza Khan 33 leading the way

In the Chorley reply 4 players got into the 20's Rob Gardner 26, Michael Critchley 26, Alexander Howarth 23 and Joe Barker 21

Leyland kept taking wickets regularly and bowled Chorley out for 144 in 43.1 overs

The wickets were shared by the Leyland bowlers Andrew Jacques 3-29, Steven Pallett 2-21, Michael Birchall 2-36, Kust Heaven 1-16 and Elliot Boardman 1-22

Morecambe v Barrow

Barrow were invited to bat first and were bowled out for 91 in 35.2 overs. Peter Deeks top scored with 24

The wickets were shared amongst the Morecambe bowlers, Joel Derham taking 4-17, George Oyston 2-0, Tommy Clough 2-16 and Muhammed Patel and Charlie Wilkinson taking 1 each

The Morecambe openers took their time and were in sight of victory when they were both out, Matthew Derham 42 and Andrew Creech 27.

There folloowed a mini collapse as 4 wickets fell quickly before Andy Bird 9no and Tommy Clough 1no saw Morecambe to victory 92-6 in 35.4 overs

For Barrow Paul Riley took 2-25 off 12 overs, Ciaran Dawes 2-16 and Sam Henderson 0-29 off 12

Penrith v St Annes

Penrith won the toss and put St Annes into bat, The decision proved to be the right one as St Annes struggled to 105-8 in their 45 overs.

The innings was held together by David Bartholomew with 56no, Nathan Bend 14 and Richard Thomas 14 were the only other batsmen to reach double figures

The Penrith wicket takers were Ted Stamper 3-24, Jake Marshall 2-4, and Dan Morland 2-23

Kevin Reid gave St Annes a glimmer of hope taking two quick wickets but Eddie Robson 21, Owen Jones 22 along with Mark Osborne 34no saw Penrith home on 106-4 in 30,2 overs

Kevin Reid finished with 3-9 off 7 overs with Nathan Bend taking the other wicket
