Barrow v Penwortham
Barrow won the toss at the Ernest Pass Memorial ground and invited the visitors to bat first, Hardus Coetzer struck early Robbie Sumner lbw for 9 (21 balls)(1x4), 17-1. Matt Halliday was the visitors number three and carefully moved the score along, Daryl Wearing broke the partnership bowling Jonathon Hothersall for 14 (32 balls)(2x4), 36-2.
The next man in was Connor Brown but ten runs later Daryl Wearing struck again bowling Matt Halliday for 9 (39 balls)(1x4), 46-3. Nathan Elliot replaced Halliday, disaster struck the visitors losing a wicket in three consecutive overs, Connor Brown was stumped by Drew Postlethwaite off Greg Reynolds for 18 (38 balls)(3x4), 59-4.
Ian Walmsley Jnr came to the wicket but was out in the next over lbw to Declan Tyson for 0 (6 balls), 62-5. Charlie Parker joined Elliot and again in the next over Nathan Elliot was bowled by Greg Reynolds for 2 (19 balls), 62-6.
Charlie Parker had a new partner in Kane Donaghy but Declan Tyson struck taking two wickets in an over, Kane Donaghy was out lbw for 7 (19 balls)(1x4), 82-7, five balls later incoming batsman Nathan Walmsley was also out lbw for 0 (5 balls), 82-8.
Ashley Billington was the next batsman in but disaster struck when he was run out for 0 by Jack Singleton without facing, 82-9. Isaac Richardson came in at eleven but six runs later was caught by Hardus Coetzer off Greg Reynolds for 4 (10 balls) as Penwortham were bowled out for 88 in 35.4 overs with Charlie Parker 14no (29 balls)(2x4).
All the four Barrow bowlers took a wicket, Declan Tyson took 3-11 from 6 overs, Greg Reynolds 3-32 off 10-4, Daryl Wearing 2-23 from 12 and Hardus Coetzer 1-19 off 7.
In reply the hosts were set a revised total of 58 in 20 overs, they lost three early wickets, Drew Postlethwaite was out lbw to Connor Brown for 4 (3 balls)(1x4), 4-1. Number three was Oliver Whalley who was soon out caught by Isaac Richardson off Nathan Walmsley for 6 (7 balls)(1x4), 12-2.
Hardus Coetzer was next in but in Nathan Walmsley's next over was caught behind by Robbie Sumner for 6 (8 balls)(1x4), 23-3. Sam Dutton joined Declan Tyson and went on the attack and with Tyson saw the hosts home closing on 62-3 in 9.5 overs, Sam Dutton 25no (17 balls)(5x4) and Declan Tyson 18no (26 balls)(3x4).
The Penwortham bowling was Nathan Walmsley took 2-39 from 4.5 overs with Connor Brown 1-23 off 5.
Carnforth v Euxton
Carnforth won the toss at Lodge Quarry and batted first, they lost both openers early, Joseph Bowden bowled Jack Huntington for 5 (6 balls)(1x4), 7-1, Jaco Beneke came in at three but soon lost Ryan Nelson bowled by Nishan Peiris for 8 (10 balls)(1x4), 17-2.
James Park Johnson was the new batsman but quickly became wicket number two for Nishan Peiris bowled for 0 (6 balls), 25-3. Tom Parkinson was next in but having doubled the score Jaco Beneke was caught behind by Jack Morgan off Jack Shovelton for 28 (34 balls)(4x4,1x6), 52-4.
Bradley Hoyle joined Parkinson and they took the score to 94 when Bradley Hoyle fell lbw to Nishan Peiris for 15 (33 balls)(2x4), 94-5. Dylan Conroy came to the wicket but in the next over was caught by James Bone off Michael Atkinson for 0 (2 balls), 95-6.
James Parkinson replaced Conroy but he did not do any better bowled by James Bone for 2 (10 balls), 100-7. Tom Parkinson had a new partner in Zack Dodds and kept the scoreboard ticking over, James Bone claimed his second wicket Tom Parkinson caught by Max Harper for 45 (59 balls)(6x4,1x6), 123-8.
Stan Rich came to the wicket and with Zack Dodds were scoring at a good rate, he was next out caught by Ben Houghton off Michael Atkinson for 14 (15 balls), 151-9. The hosts number eleven was Lewis Spurr who fell stumped by Jack Morgan off Michael Atkinson for 4 (6 balls) as Carforth were bowled out for 169 in 35.5 overs, Zack Dodds was 33no (35 balls)(2x6).
The Euxton bowling was Nishan Peiris took 3-32 from 11 overs, Michael Atkinson 3-35 off 7.5, James Bone 2-42 from 8, Joseph Bowden 1-17 off 3, Jack Shovelton 1-26 from 5 and Joseph Barker 0-7 from 1.
Euxton were set a revised total of 90 in 36 overs.Jack Shovelton got the visitors off to a quick start scoring at six an over when Josh Tolley was caught by Jaco Beneke off James Parkinson for 6 (16 balls), 36-1. Nishan Peiris came in at three but was out in the next over lbw to Dylan Conroy for 2 (3 balls), 47-2.
Ben Houghton was the new batsman, Jack Shovelton's attacking innings came to a close out caught by Stan Rich off Zack Dodds for 44 (36 balls)(6x4,1x6), 55-3. James Bone joined Houghton and they saw the visitors to victory closing on 113-3 in 21.2 overs with Ben Houghton 23no (39 balls)(3x4) and James Bone 29no (37 balls)(4x4).
The Carnforth bowling was Zack Dodds took 1-24 from 6 overs, James Parkinson 1-24 off 4, Dylan Conroy 1-38 from 7, James Park Johnson 0-7 off 1 and Jaco Beneke 0-15 from 3.2.
Fulwood & Broughton v Lytham
Fulwood & Broughton won the toss at the Highfield ground and put the visitors into bat in a reduced overs match, they got off to a bad start losing Edward Fiddler bowled by Chris Brookes for 0 (9 balls), 1-1. Archie Banks-Smith was the visitors number three and with Myles Child took the score past the hundred when disaster struck with Archie Banks-Smith run out by Kashif Jamil for 50 (51 balls)(8x4,1x6), 107-2.
Sahaan Sahaan came to the wicket looking for runs, he lost Myles Child caught behind by James McWilliam off Jon Fenton for 51 (66 balls)(2x4,3x6), 133-3. Ben Saunders joined Sahaan and they were scoring well and saw Lytham close on 208-3 in 30 overs, Sahaan Sahaan was 52no (27 balls)(5x4,4x6) and Ben Houghton 27no (27 balls)(3x4,1x6).
The Fulwood & Broughton bowling was Chris Brookes took 1-30 from 6, Jon Fenton 1-84 off 8, Todd Winder 0-16 from 2, Lewis Wellings 0-27 off 9, and Kashif Jamil 0-36 from 5.
The hosts were set a revised total of 124 in 30 overs. they got off to a bad start losing both openers early, Clayton Stone was caught by Josh Holden off Charlie Nixon for 1 (7 balls), 6-1, Ben Rosbottom was number three but quickly lost Ewen Mansford bowled by Charlie Nixon for 8 (10 balls)(1x4), 13-2.
Charlie Rossiter was next in and with Rosbottom took the hosts in sight of victory when he was caught by Ben Saunders off Antony Mulligan for 37 (39 balls)(4x4,1x6), 111-3. James M cWilliam was the new batsman and hit 14 runs off his first three balls, in the next over Ben Rosbottom hit the winning run as Fulwod & Broughton closed on 126-3 in 20.1 overs with Ben Rosbottom 58no (61 balls)(7x4) and James McWilliam 14no (4 balls)(2x4,1x6).
The Lytham bowling was Charlie Nixon took 2-25 from 6 overs, Antony Mulligan 1-38 off 4, Josh Holden 0-31 from 6.1 and Sabbir Patel 0-31 off 4.
Morecambe v Great Eccleston
Great Eccleston won the toss at Woodhill Lane and elected to bat first, they got off to a steady start, Will Smith was the first man out caught and bowled by Lloyd (Adam) Smith for 20 (35 balls)(2x4), 33-1. number three was Tyler McGladdery and with Matthew Lawrenson kept the scoreboard moving along, Siddarth Ahhuja was brought on to bowl and in his second over trapped Matthew Lawrenson lbw for 11 (42 balls), 61-2.
Mohammed Fazil joined McGladdery and they had put on 99 runs when Tyler McGladdery was caught by Alex Briggs for 64 (75 balls)(6x4,2x6), 160-3. Alexander Rhodes was the next man in and went on the attack but was soon out caught and bowled by Lloyd (Adam) Smith for 11 (6 balls)(1x4,1x6), 182-4.
Mohamed Nadeem replaced Rhodes, Siddarth Ahhuja claimed his second wicket Mohamed Nadeem lbw for 9 (6 balls)(1x6), 191-5. Joe McMillan was the new batsman and with Mohammed Fazil took the score past the two hundred, Siddarth Ahhuja struck again having Mohammed Fazil lbw for 54 (48 balls)(4x4,2x6), 210-6.
Phil Booth came to the wicket and hit 17 runs off 4 balls, Great Eccleston closed on 228-6 in 37 overs with Joe McMillan 11no (6 balls)(1x6) and Phil Booth 17 no (4 balls)(1x4,2x6).
The Morecambe bowling was Lloyd (Adam) Smith took 3-49 from 10 overs, Siddarth Ahhuja 3-67 off 11, Stefan Dixon 0-33 from 9, Michael Bland 0-33 off 2 and Regan Jackson 0-40 from 5.
The hosts were chasing a revised total of 120 in 37 overs. they lost Luke Pearson bowled by Alexander Rhodes for 2 (4 balls), 10-1. Joseph Bradshaw came in at three and with Lewis Smith took the score to 56 when they both were out, Lewis Smith was first to go lbw to Mohamed Nadeem for 20 (42 balls)(2x4), 56-2, in the next over Joseph Bradshaw was caught by Chris Saunders off Will Smith for 21 (36 balls)(3x4), 56-3.
We now had two new batsmen Siddarth Ahhuja and Alex Briggs, they were scoring freely and knocked off the runs closing on 139-3 on 20.5 overs, Siddarth Ahhuja was 33no (22 balls)(6x4) and Alex Briggs 42no (21 balls)(4x4,3x6).
The Geat Eccleston bowling was Will Smith took 1-19 from 4 overs, Alexander Rhodes 1-25 off 5.5, Mohamed Nadeem 1-40 from 4, Tyler McGladdery 0-21 off 7 and Jim Proctor 0-23 from 5.
Preston v Fleetwood
Fleetwood won the toss at West Cliff and put the hosts into bat, Sajid Patel and Navazish Ali got them off to a brilliant start with an opening stand of 105 broken by Matthew Siddall bowling Navazish Ali for 42 (44 balls)(3x4,2x6), 105-1, Imran Mehmood was in at three but then disaster for the hosts with five wickets falling for four runs, three on the same score, the collapse began with Sajid Patel out lbw to Matthew Siddall for 43 (62 balls)(5x4), 110-2.
Suhel Patel was the next man in but four balls later fell lbw to Matthew Siddall for 0 (4 balls), 110-3, Sufvan Munshi replaced Patel but in the next over Imran Mehmood was out lbw to Nathan Bend for 3 (4 balls), 110-4.
Faizan Patel joined Munshi but four balls later Sufvan Munshi was run out by Sherzai Wali for 1 (2 balls), 113-5. Suhel Jr Patel was next in but things went from bad to worse Faizan Patel bowled by Matthew Siddall for 3 (6 balls), 114-6.
Irfan Dudhara came to the wicket and dug in, Matthew Siddall claimed his fifth wicket Suhel Patel Jr bowled for 1 (5 balls), 125-7. Talha Patel was the new batsman and eight runs later was caught by Andy Drake off Nathan Bend for 2 (11 balls), 133-8.
Irfan Dudhara had a new partner in Ismail Patel and it was once again Matthew Siddall who made the breakthrough bowling Irfan Dudhara for 14 (26 balls)(1x4), 144-9. Faizel Gani was number eleven and unfortunately was run out by Charlie Clark for 0 (5 balls) as Preston were bowled out for 153 in 30.4 overs, Ismail Patel was 14no (9 balls)(2x4).
The Fleetwood bowling was Matthew Siddall took 6-17 from 9 overs, Nathan Bend 2-53 off 8.4, Hassan Mughal 0-24 from 7 and Jeremy Davies 0-48 off 6.
The visitors were set a revised total of 155 in 30 overs, they got off to a steady start, Andy Drake was the first man out bowled by Imran Mehmood for 18 (18 balls)(1x4,1x6), 27-1. the Fleetwood number three was Muhammed Hurraira but two runs later lost Jeremy Davies bowled by Navazish Ali for 9 (27 balls)(1x4), 29-2.
Spencer Evans joined Hurraira and they were going well until Spencer Evans was out lbw to Talha Patel for 13 (16 balls)(1x4), 77-3. Harry McAleer was the next man in and they took the score past the hundred when history repeated itself, Muhammed Hurraira was stumped by Suhel Patel Jr off Talha Patel for 43 (49 balls)(5x4,1x6), 106-4, Charlie Clark was the new batsman but two runs later Harry McAleer was caught by Faizel Gani off Ismail Patel for 17 (24 balls)(1x4), 108-5.
Sherzai Wali replaced McAleer and with Clark had the scoreboard ticking over, for the third time in the innings two wickets fell two runs apart, Talha Patel took two wickets in an over, Charlie Clark was bowled for 4 (7 balls), 124-6, the incoming Declan Clerkin fell two runs later bowled for 1 (3 balls), 126-7.
Nathan Bend was Sherzai Wali's new partner but in the next over Sherzai Wali was caught by Navazish Ali off Imran Mehmood for 19 (15 balls)(3x4), 132-8. Hassan Mughal came to the wicket with 23 runs required form 20 balls. This was achieved with three balls to spare as Fleetwood closed on 156-8 in 29.3 overs with Hassan Mughal 15no (12 balls)(1x6) and Nathan Bend 10no (6 balls)(2x4).
All the Preston bowlers took a wicket, Talha Patel took 4-38 from 8.3 overs, Imran Mehmood 2-44 off 8, Navazish Ali 1-34 from 7 and Ismail Patel 1-38 off 6.
Whalley v Thornton Cleveleys
Thornton Cleveleys won the toss at Station Road and asked the hosts to bat first, they got off to a good start tnen disaster as three wickets fell on the same score, Mony Cort and Daniel Ainsworth opened and took the score to 42 when three wickets fell in three balls, Joshua Rolinson bowled Monty Cort off the last ball of his over for 30 (36 balls)(5x4), 42-1. Frankie Jackson was in at three, off the first ball of the next over Jake Apperley bowled Daniel Ainsworth for 8 (33 balls), 42-2. next ball the incoming Levi Wolfenden was bowled for 0 (1 ball), 42-3. Hamish Mulllavey-Clark was next in but he did not last long caught behind by Sam Curwen off Jake Applerley for 9 (12 balls), 55-4.
Sam Jackson was the new batsman and with Frankie Jackson taking the lead saw Whalley close in a reduced over innings on 148-4 in 28 overs, Sam Jackson 56no (49 ballsF(5x4,2x6) and Frankie Jackson 31no (39 balls)(1x4).
The Thornton Cleveleys bowling was Jake Apperley took 3-36 from 9 overs, Joshua Rolinson 1-38 off 9, Anthony Ellison 0-24 from 5 and Daniel Howard 0-42 off 5.
The visitors had a revised target of 141 in 28 overs, Josh Borrell was first out caught by Hamish Mullavey-Clark off Joshua Dentith for 3 (7 balls), 18-1. Sam Curwen came in at three but Joshua Dentith struck again bowling Joshua Rolinson for 16 (30 balls)(1x6), 24-2.
Joshua Sackfield joined Curwen but with only eight runs added he was caught by Levi Wolfenden off Joshua Dentith for 1 (15 balls), 32-3. Daniel Howard was next in but again Joshua Dentith broke through bowling Sam Curwen for 18 (23 balls)(3x4), 47-4.
Jacob Sackfield was the new batsman and things went pear-shaped six runs later, Ewan McDonald took two wickets in two balls, Daniel Howard was caught by Hamish Mullavey-Clark for 7 (9 balls)(1x4), 53-5, next ball incoming batsman Joel Elthick was bowled for 0 (1 ball), 53-6.
Ethan Elphick replaced Joel Elphick but in Ewan McDonald's next over he again took two wickets, Ethan Elphick was caught by Frankie Jackson for 8 (4 balls)(1x6), 65-7, Christopher Hedges came to the wicket lasted 4 balls and was then caught behind by Thomas Cameron for 1 (4 balls), 67-8.
Jake Applerley walked to the wicket but did not face a ball as the game was abandoned with Thornton Cleveleys on 67-8 in 17 overs Whalley 3 overs short of victory, Jacob Sackfield was 10no (9 balls).
