Barrow v Fulwood & Broughton
Barrow won the toss at the Ernest Pass Memorial ground and elected to bat first, They got off to a bad start Declan Tyson bowled by Lewis Wellings for 1 (9 balls), 4-1. Drew Postlethwaite came in at three, but before they could settle Chris Brookes took two wickets in three balls, he bowled Toby Mowat for 11 (24 balls)(2x4), 23-2. Hardus Coetzer was next in, Brookes bowled a wide and then trapped Coetzer lbw off the next ball for 0 (1 ball), 24-3.
Sam Dutton joined Drew Postlethwaite and they had nearly doubled the score when Chris Brookes struck again bowling Sam Dutton for 8 (7 balls), 41-4, Jack Singleton was the new batsman but with only four runs added Drew Postlethwaite was bowled by Lewis Wellings for 20 (16 balls)(5x4), 45-5.
Ross McMurdo replaced Postlethwaite but was soon out caught by Lewis Wellings off Jon Fenton for 5 (17 balls)(1x4), 53-6. Glenn Kermode came to the wicket and with Singleton looked to be making progress, Kashif Jamil was brought on to bowl and in his first over had Glenn Kermode caught by Jon Fenton for 5 (17 balls), 82-7.
Hassan Abdullah was Jack Singleton's new partner but with only one run added he fell lbw to Chris Brookes for 1 (9 balls), 83-8. Daryl Wearing was the next batsman in and with Singleton took the score past the hundred, Kashif Jamil claimed his second wicket Daryl Wearing caught by Charlie Rossiter for 10 (29 balls)(1x4), 108-9.
Liam Walker came in at eleven and with Singleton leading continued to fight for the runs until he was bowled by Jon Fenton for 5 (7 balls)(1x4) as Barrow were bowled out for 123 in 37 overs with Jack Singleton 29no (93 balls)(4x4).
All the Fulwood & Broughton bowlers took a wicket, Chris Brookes took 4-32 from 15 overs, Kashif Jamil 2-15 off 7, Jon Fenton 2-31 from 6 and Lewis Wellings 2-40 off 9.
In reply Ewen Mansford was an early victim bowled by Daryl Wearing for 4 (3 balls), 4-1. Ben Rosbottom was the visitors number three and with Matt Smith were going along very nicely, Declan Tyson broke the partnership with Matt Smith caught by Liam Walker for 31 (56 balls)(3x4,1x6), 82-2.
Charlie Rossiter joined Rosbottom but was soon out caught by Hardus Coetzer off Glenn Kermode for 7 (10 balls)(1x4), 97-3. Clayton Stone was in next and with Rosbottom saw the visitors to victory closing on 125-3 in 27.3 overs with Ben Rosbottom 51no (69 balls)(6x4) and Clayton Stone 12no (23 balls)(3x4).)

Fleetwood v Thornton Cleveleys
Fleetwood won the toss at Broadwater and decided to bat first and got off to a terrible start both openers our for 0, Andy Drake fell lbw off the second ball of the innings to Joshua Rolinson for 0 (2 balls), 0-1, Muhammed Hurraira came in at three but quickly lost Jeremy Davies caught behind by Sam Curwen off Joshua Rolinson for 0 (7 balls), 8-2.
Harry McAleer joined Hurraira and with McAleer leading the way were looking to make a big score, Anthony Ellison made the breakthrough trapping Muhammed Hurraira for 26 (49 balls)(5x4), 75-3. Tomas King was the next in and they took the score past the hundred, Anthony Ellison struck again Tomas King caught by Daniel Howard for 14 (21 balls)(3x4), 107-4.
Charlie Clark was the new batsman and he held up one end with McAleer scoring the runs, Joshua Sackfield accounted for Charlie Clark bowling him for 2 (25 balls), 125-5. Woody Wilson replaced Clark but fell five runs later lbw to Anthony Ellison for 4 (7 balls), 130-6.
Declan Clerkin was the new batsman and was scoring at a run a ball when he was caught and bowled by Joshua Sackfield for 17 (19 balls)(4x4), 158-7. Nathan Bend was McAleer's new partner and they took the score past the two hundred when disaster Nathan Bend was run out by Christopher Hedges for 17 (23 balls)(3x4), 203-8.
Sharzai Wali came to the wicket with four overs to go and was soon out lbw to Christopher Hedges for 10 (9 balls)(2x4), 215-9. Matthew Siddall came in at eleven, Harry McAleer reached his century and in the next over Matthew Siddall was run out by Christopher Hedges for 1 (8 balls) as Fleetwood were bowled out for 225 in 49.3 overs with Harry McAleer 101no (130 balls)(13x4,1x6).
The Thornton Cleveleys bowling was Anthony Ellison took 3-51 from 15 overs, Joshua Rolinson 2-54 off 10, Joshua Sackfield 2-59 from 15, Christopher Hedges 1-22 off 3.3 and Jake Apperley 0-30 from 6.
The visitors got off to a bad start losing both openers with the score on 4, Josh Borrell was caught by Sherzai Wali off Nathan Bend for 4 (6 balls)(1x4), 4-1. Number three was Sam Curwen and in the next over Joshua Sackfield was out lbw to Declan Clerkin for 0 (3 balls), 4-2.
Jacob Sackfield joined Curwen but soon became wicket number two for Nathan Bend caught by Tomas King for 13 (21 balls)(3x4), 21-3. Richard Jenkinson was the next in but the introduction of Matthew Siddall into the attack saw him take a wicket in his first over bowling Sam Curwen for 7 (30 balls)(1x4), 34-4.
Christopher Hedges was the new batsman but in Matthew Siddall's next over was out caught by Tomas King for 2 (6 balls), 36-5. Joshua Rolinson replaced Hedges but he soon became wicket number three lbw for 7 (13 balls)(1x6), 48-6.
Richard Jenkinson had a new partner in Daniel Howard and they were beginning to turn the innings round when Matthew Siddall struck again bowling Daniel Howard for 23 (39 balls)(2x4,2x6), 88-7. Jake Apperley came to the wicket but three runs later became Matthew Siddall's fifth wicket stumped by Harry McAleer for 2 (12 balls), 91-8.
Ethan Elphick was the next batsman in and was out in the next over bowled by Declan Clerkin for 2 (2 balls), 106-9. Number eleven was Anthony Ellison and saw Richard Jenkinson reach his fifty and was then out caught by Muhammed Hurraira off Matthew Siddall for 51 (70 balls)(8x4,1x6) as Thornton Cleveleys were bowled out for 124 in 34.5 overs with Anthony Ellison 5no (7 balls)(1x4).

Great Eccleston v Euxton
Euxton won the toss at Hall Lane and chose to bat first, Josh Tolley and Max Harper got off to a steady start, Alexander Rhodes struck taking two wickets in an over, Max Harper was the first out caught behind by Chris Saunders for 18 (31 balls)(2x4,1x6), 27-1, James Bone was in at three but was out four balls later caught by Joe McMillan for 4 (4 balls)(1x4), 31-2.
Ben Houghton was the next man in but fell in Alexander Rhode's next over caught by Mohammed Fazil for 0 (5 balls), 33-4. Things went from bad to worse, incoming batsman Jack Morgan was out in Alexander Rhodes's next over caught by Richard Booth for 0 (7 balls), 33-4.
Nishan Peiris joined Josh Tolley and they began to rebuild the innings taking the score past the hundred, Phil Booth broke the partnership Josh Tolley caught by Mohammed Fazil for 43 (84 balls)(4x4), 109-5.Josh Boyden replaced Tolley and with Peiris leading the way continued to make progress, disaster struck for the visitors Phil Booth taking two wickets in four balls, the vital wicket of Nishan Peiris was first caught behind by Chris Saunders for 49 (64 balls)(5x4,3x6),12906, three balls later incoming batsman Alfie Delve was also caught behind by Chris Saunders for 0 (3 balls), 129-7.
The last three Euxton wickets fell one in each of the next three overs, Dave McCabe came to the wicket and lost his partner Josh Boyden lbw to Mini Bhada for 6 (14 balls)(1x4), 133-8, next over new man Joseph Barker was run out by Mini Bhada for 0 (5 balls), Number eleven Elliot Mackrael lasted three balls bowled by Mini Bhada for 0 as Euxton were bowled out for 138 in 37.3 overs with Dave McCabe 9no (5 balls)(2x4).
The Great Eccleston bowling was Alexander Rhodes took 4-38 from 11 overs, Phil Booth 3-33 off 8, Mini Bhada 2-21 from 11.3 and Mohamed Nadeem 0-45 off 6.
In reply the hosts lost an early wicket Alexander Rhodes caught by Max Harper off Josh Boyden for 4 (5 balls)(1x4), 5-1. Mini Bhada was the host's number three and with Will Smith slowly built the score, James Bone was brought into the attack and in his first over trapped Mini Bhada lbw for 25 (55 balls)(5x4), 57-2.
Mohammed Fazil was next in and progress continued to be made, James Bone struck again bowling Will Smith for 21 (83 balls)(2x4), 71-3. Mohamed Nadeem was the new batsman but was soon out caught by James Bone off Joseph Barker for 11 (17 balls)(2x4), 88-4.
Joe McMillan replaced Nadeem and with Mohammed Fazil took the score to four runs short of victory when James Bone took two wickets in three balls, Joe McMillan was caught by Joseph Barker for 27 (27 balls)(5x4), 135-5, two balls later incoming batsman Matthew Lawrenson was caught by Josh Tolley for 0 (2 balls), 135-6.
Richard Booth came to the wicket and with Mohammed Fazil saw the hosts to victory closing on 142-6 in 47 overs with Mohammed Fazil 27no (89 balls)(3x4)and Richard Booth 4no (6 balls)(1x4).
The Euxton bowling was Janes Bone took 4-25 from 9 overs, Joseph Barker 1-19 off 7, Josh Boyden 1-42 from 13, Ben Houghton 0-15 off 3 and Nishan Peiris 0-34 from 15.
The two wins over the weekend give Great Eccleston some hope of staying in the Northern Premier League.
Morecambe v Carnforth
Morecambe won the toss at Woodhill Lane and batted first, They lost Andrew Creech caught by Jaco Beneke off James Park Johnson for 4 (19 balls), 16-1. Joseph Bradshaw was number three but soon lost Lewis Smith cauught by Freddie Whatmuff off James Parkinson for 18 (28 balls)(4x4), 27-2.
Siddarth Ahhuja joined Joseph Bradshaw and with Ahhuja leading were scoring well, their partnership was 131 when Joseph Bradshaw was bowled by Freddie Whatmuff for 43 (71 balls)(6x4), 158-2.
Alex Briggs was the next man in and he continued the good run rate, they took the score past the two hundred , Alex Briggs was out caught by Tom Fursland off Sam Woodburn for 37 (26 balls)(6x4,16), 204-4.
Luke Pearson replaced Briggs, Siddarth Ahhuja reached his century and was out shortly afterwards caught by James Parkinson off Tom Fursland for 110 (78 balls)(11x4,4x6), 232-5. Stefan Dixon was the new batsman, James Park Johnson returned to the attack and in his second over bowled Stefan Dixon for 3 (8 balls), 243-6.
Michael Bland came to the wicket and in the next James Park Johnson over they lost two wickets in four balls, Luke Pearson was caught by Joel Frith for 16 (29 balls)(1x4), 246-7, Ashton Ward was the incoming batsman and was run out two balls later for 1 (2 balls), 248-8.
Lloyd (Adam) Smith was the new partner for Michael Bland and they kept the scoreboard moving along until Michael Bland was caught by Ryan Nelson off James Park Johnson for 16 (12 balls)(2x4), 284-9. The Carnforth bowling was James Park Johnson took 4-79 from 13 overs, Sam Woodburn 2-56 off 6.4, James Parkinson 1-26 from 8, Tom Fursland 1-40 off 7, Freddie Whatmuff 1-52 from 8 and Jaco Beneke 0-33 off 6.
Ryan Nelson and James Parkinson were the opening batsmen, James Parkinson was the first to go bowled by Stefan Dixon for 3 (15 balls), 20-1, Jaco Beneke came in at three but soon became wicket number two for Stefan Dixon caught by Siddarth Ahhuja for 3 (10 balls), 31-2.
James Park Johnson was the new batsman and with Nelson were making steady progress, It was Stefan Dixon who once again broke the partnership James Park Johnson caught by Regan Jackson for 18 (39 balls)(3x4), 73-3. Freddie Whatmuff was next in but five runs later lost Ryan Nelson bowled by Stefan Dixon for 41 (69 balls)(3x4), 78-4.
Bradley Hoyle joined Whatmuff but Stefan Dixon struck again claiming his fifth wicket Freddie Whatmuff caught by Regan Jackson for 10 (23 balls)(1x4), 87-5. Joel Frith replaced Whatmuff but with only four runs added he was bowled by Regan Jackson for 2 (6 balls), 91-6.
Louis Potter came to the wicket but quickly became wicket number two for Regan Jackson bowled for 1 (4 balls), 91-7. Bradley Hoyle had a new partner in Tom Fursland and they steadily began to build up the score, Regan Jackson broke their partnership bowling Bradley Hoyle for 18 (44 balls)(3x4), 128-8.
Sam Woodburn was the incoming batsman but introduction of Andrew Creech saw Tom Fursland fall lbw for 23 (13 balls)(5x4), 134-9. Charlie Parker joined Sumner and they continued to make good progress, Sabbir Patel made the breakthrough Robbie Sumner caught by Ryan Norris for 70 (93 balls)(10x4,1x6), 144-5.
