The final weekend of the season

Four clubs still in contention for title

Sitting pretty- Netherfield top the league

The 3D Sports Northern Premier ECB League reaches its conclusion this Saturday, weather permitting, with four teams still in contention for the title.
After last weekend's wash-out Netherfield lead the table by three points from Blackpool with Morecambe a further two points behind. Fourth-placed Kendal are six points off the top.

Netherfield appear to have timed their run superbly, hitting top-spot for the first time this season after their 15-points victory at Carnforth.
This Saturday Netherfield travel to Morecambe while Blackpool, host Chorley at Stanley Park. Kendal are at home to Preston.
The destination of the title could well depend on which grounds have coped best with the wet weather, especially as there is another mixed forecast for the week ahead.
Several Morecambe players spent the weekend removing water from the sodden Woodhill Lane ground over the weekend while Stanley Park was also under water.

In the second division leaders Chorley entertain Blackpoolat Windsor Park. Second placed St Annes, seven points behind, are at home to Carnforth.

On Sunday another attempt will be made to stage the two cup finals.
Morecambe are due to entertain Preston in the Furness Building Society Cup Final at Woodhill Lane (1pm).
In the second division final Preston are at home to Darwen at West Cliff (1pm).

The Cumbria Cup appears likely to be carried forward to next season. The outstanding semi-final between Keswick and Netherfield has still not been played due to the weather. Barrow await the winners of that game in the final.

Sawdust applied at Morecambe- a familiar sight in the league this season
