Atiq hit 792 runs for champions St Annes

Atiq Uz-Zaman won the Castle Award for batting for the second season in a row as St Annes lifted the league title.
The former Pakistan Test player hit 792 runs during the league season at an average of 46.59, including five half centuries and two hundreds.

Fleetwood's new recruit Chesney Hughes was second in the list, marking his first season at Broadwater with 709 runs at 39.39 including six fifties.
The Anguillan born Hughes, a West Indies U19s representative, earned a summer contract with Derbyshire. After impressing in the county's Second XI he was called up for his List A debut in the Pro40 game against Warwickshire in early September.
Hughes is expected to join a team in the Derbyshire Premier League next year as his commitments to the county intensify.

The consistent Adam Parker enjoyed another excellent season with the bat, making 664 runs at 33.20 in his first year at Preston after leaving Fleetwood. Lancaster captain Tim Barry set a fine example to his Lune Road team-mates with 645 runs at 49.62.
Stephen Twist, the St Annes all rounder, hit 594 runs at 42.43 and took 23 wickets at 21.22. Netherfield opener Craig Walmsley hit 555 runs at 37.00.

Carnforth's opening batsman and wicket-keeper Ryan Nelson made 545 runs at 36.33 and hit the highest scorer of the season by an amateur batsman, an unbeaten 126 against Morecambe at Lodge Quarry.
Barrow's Jonathan Miles also enjoyed a fine season hitting 545 runs at 32.06 including five fifties. The talented teenager will spend the winter playing grade cricket in Victoria.
The evergreen Terry Hunte (534 runs) and Preston opener Sajid Patel (515) also passed 500 runs during the season. Since making his league debut with Kendal in 1987 Hunte has hit 17,806 runs at an average of 44.40 and has made 42 centuries.

Atiq was also the highest runs scorer during the season, surpassing the four professionals to pass the 500 runs mark in 2009.
Preston captain Bilal Asad hit 760 in a fine all round season for his club as he also took 61 wickets.
Netherfield pro Glen Batticciotto made 711 runs, Chorley's Queensland wicket-keeper Chris Hartley 668 and Darwen's David Wiese 547.
Wiese hit the highest of 20 centuries made during Division One games in 2009, 129 against Blackpool at Stanley Park.
