Weekend Preview 5th-7th May 2012

JJ Pienaar looking to build on his century exploits from last weekend

Early season pace setters and league leaders Fleetwood face two of the contenders for the league, as they travel to Leyland on Saturday before hosting Netherfield on Monday.

Fleetwood have surprised many especially after their struggles of last season, they are a side playing with confidence, and will be keen to keep their good run going.

Kendal who have also started the season well travel to face Morecambe on Saturday before hosting Leyland at Shap Road on Bank Holiday Monday.

Chris Millers team will be keen to pick up points after the set back at Fleetwood, whilst Morecambe will want to continue their early season progress. Umar Amin hit 175 for Morecambe in the draw at Carnforth. The Pakistan Professional has made an instant impact for Lewis Edges team.

Leyland will be aiming for points, after the loss at Blackpool , whilst in the other games, Netherfield host Carnforth on Saturday before the away test at Fleetwood on Monday. JJ Pienaar hit a 100 for Netherfield last weekend and will be keen to carry on that form.

Carnforth have made a slow start to the season. however they did show a lot of promise in the draw against Morecambe. Toby Bulcock has been a good acquisition as professional for Adam Hornbys team. A prolific wicket taker and run maker, certainly one of the main threats in the league!

In the other of the Weekend games, Darwen travel to Barrow on Saturday, before playing The Lancashire Colts on Sunday.

Lancaster are back in action with a home game against Chorley on Saturday, before an away trip to Blackpool on Monday.

Blackpool and Preston will play each other in league and cup action over the weekend, with the league clash at West Cliff on Saturday, before Blackpool host Preston on Sunday in the re arranged National Knock Out encounter.
