Readers Cup action

Fleetwood will play Darwen in the semi finals of The Readers Cup, after defeating Barrow by 27 runs in the top of the table clash at Broadwater.

Fleetwood batting first were all out for 149, Shaun Liebisch with a top scoring 40 off 56 balls.

Daryl Wearing and Liam Livingstone with 3 wickets each, whilst Vaughn Van Jaarsveld could only bowl 1 over due to an injury.

Barrows reply was hampered by good bowling and fielding from the hosts, as Rhys Studt top scored with 57 off 63.

The visitors all out for 122, the wickets shared about, Sam Bell with 3-28, Whilst Shaun Liebisch, Naveed Yousaf, and Keiran Mc Gann claimed two wickets with Adam Parker taking the 1

In the other game Darwen defeated The Lancashire Colts by 7 wickets, The Colts restricted to 175-8, Tim Le Breton with 3-38, Neil Cordingley 2-20,Shaun De Kock 1-27,Niall Burke 1-33, and Nathan Jackson with 1-31.

Mark Friend with 44 off 43 was the Colts top scorer.

Darwen eased home in 34.5 overs,Alex Davies with 63 off 75 and Shaun De Kock with 62 off 79.

The Readers Cup clash between Morecambe and Kendal has been rearranged for Sunday 5th August!, after the Woodhill Lane surface was unfit due to the bad weather

In the only Division Two Readers Cup tie, Barrow advance after defeating Fleetwood by 36 runs at Ernest Pass.

The hosts all out for 139, Greg Reynolds with 40 off 47, Fleetwoods Anthony Ellison with 3-17.
