Brett Pelser re-signs for 2013

By Richard Edmondson

Brett Pelser

Leyland professional Brett Pelser has agreed a one year extension to his current contract to return to the club for the 2013 season.

South African Pelser has scored 2916 runs for the club at an average of 40.5 in the last three seasons. His highest score is 121 not out against Lancaster in the league winning 2010 season.

He has taken 152 wickets with his right arm medium pace at an average of 15.4. Brett's best bowling for Leyland of 8 for 22 against Preston in 2010 is also his career best in any form of cricket.

Brett commented, "The 2012 season has been somewhat disappointing for me personally and for the first team, as we all know that we are capable of playing better than we have done at times. I am determined to come back stronger in 2013 and give everything I can to help the club achieve more success. I am excited at the prospect of working with and helping the development of a talented group of players again next season and I am sure that everyone will work hard over the English winter to prepare themselves for the challenges ahead."
