The Colts open their season at Preston On Sunday 21st April.

Lancashire Colt's Team Manager Bob Dearden gave his thoughts on the season ahead for the team.

"The Lancashire Colts are looking forward with enthusiasm to the 2013 season in the Northern League.

As usual we aim to be competitive. We intend to play our Academy players,Under 17 and Under 19 cricketers as much as possible as well as giving opportunities to other young cricketers to express themselves and show their ability in competitive match situations.

There will also be opportunities for more established players to obtain match practice and test out their leadership skills.

We always receive a warm welcome from all the Northern League clubs and we appreciate this very much."
